Rawcliffe House farm is situated 6 miles North of Pickering in a BEAUTIFUL, SCENIC, RURAL location in 42 acres of the North York Moors National Park.
Its central location in the North Yorkshire Moors allows easy access to the coast, Whitby, Captain Cook country and the famous Whitby Abbey are only 30 mins away, over the beautiful moors road, sometimes featured in ‘Heartbeat’, Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay a pleasant drive away, Castle Howard, Goathland (Aidensfield on Heartbeat), Eden Camp, the market towns of Malton and Helmsley, and of course York – you can be in York city centre within an hour. Dalby forest with its walks, cycle trails, play areas, lake and views is only a short drive away. DON’T FORGET – you can walk and cycle from the door. Plenty of National Trust and English Heritage sites are around the area.
We are 10 minutes from the market town of Pickering, where the terminus for the North Yorkshire Moors steam Railway is situated. Many more attractions are nearby including beautiful little villages such as Hutton-Le-Hole, where the Ryedale Folk Museum is found.
The holiday cottages and B&B are situated within the spacious garden of Rawcliffe House.
Each self-catering cottage and the three bed & breakfast cottages are situated around a south-facing courtyard, a sheltered, sunny spot ideal for relaxing.
The 3 high quality, spacious cottages in the converted stone barns, have open beamed ceilings, retaining much of their original character. They are comfortable, have excellent facilities, stunning views, plenty of space to walk or play around the cottages. Our 1 bedroom and 3 bedroom cottage both enjoy there own west facing private patio, from which you can watch the sunset across the fields. Also our 1 bedroom cottage has disabled facilities and is completely on the level.
